Enjoying a Few Moments of Crocheting a Summer Beach Hat

Last week I barely had time to think with 2 tests, so when I got home this afternoon I wrote my paper and decided to go outside by the pool and crochet for a little while.  I had started this hat on Saturday and managed to finish it up today!

Canary Yellow Summer Beach

I think this is my favorite color so far!  I can’t wait until I have the time to make one for myself!

Happy crocheting to everyone!  God Bless you!

Counting down to graduation….19 days!

I’ve added my hat to “Working on it Wednesday” at Crochet at Play.  You can check out other works in progress and great projects!

    • Thank you so much! I had never made this type of hat before and thought it would be so much and I was right! You can follow my blog by email or my Facebook. Both links are on the side of the blog! So glad you were here! God Bless you and your family! I pray for your families protection. My husband is a police officer so while he is not away from me, I can understand some of what you may experience.

    • Eclectics,

I’m sure you will be able to just keep working at it. Every time I see someone’s work I am always amazed too that we are crocheters/knitters can make such gorgeous hats, scarfs, clothes, etc. It’s what continues to inspire me! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Really lovely color and the use of stitch pattern is just perfect! Just the right texture really makes the hat look polished! Are you on ravelry? I’d love to follow you there and maybe even be a test crocheters for you! I’m kirknits btw.

    • Thanks Kristen! I loved the yellow! Definitely going to have to make one for myself when I can find the time!

I am on Ravelry. Here’s the link: http://www.ravelry.com/people/klashley

Thanks for following on over there! I will certainly keep you in mind for a tester too! Sounds great! Can you provide me the link to kirknits?

Be sure to check out the Facebook page too. The link is provided on the side of the blog. I have a great group over there and we have some fun stuff coming up!

      • I crochet a lot of hats and afghans and baby things and toys and give them to a children’s Primary Care Hospital and the cancer center. I enjoy doing something to help these little one’s who are sick. Any way thank you for the offer. I love learning new stitches especially the Aran and Fishermans crochet. I would really like to have the pattern for that hat. It is so beautiful.

    • Thanks Kathleen! I am looking forward to having the time to write the pattern myself. I’ve been doing bits and pieces here and there but nothing of substance yet. I appreciate you taking the time to comment! Have a great day!

  2. Love the hat. Ideal for our Queensland weather. Can’t wait till you get a chance to write the pattern as well as the one you won the competition with last week.

  3. Beautiful!! Will you be sharing the pattern? I’m stuck inside because of the SNOW – do you believe that!! Getting ready for spring by crocheting a beautiful hat would help.

    • Thanks Judy! Snow? Yuck. I mean it’s April….. Maybe the sunny days are coming soon!

I hope to have more time to devote to pattern writing after graduation on May 4th! Just add yourself to the email list or you can find me on Facebook. The links are on the side of the blog.

Until then you better make yourself another beanie right?
